MERRY CHRISTMAS...

To all my clients may you have a WONDERFUL Christmas and a joyous New Year!! I want to THANK YOU all for making the first official year of Cherished Snap[SHOTS] Photography so wonderful and BUSY...lol! I look forward to seeing many of you in 2009 and hope to see some new faces as well!! There are LOTS of exciting things to come in 09' for Cherished Snap[SHOTS] Photography...a NEW Studio, Our Boudoir Special and of course new and exciting edits! A Night in Bethlehem

Is a Outreach Program of First United Methodist Church in Loveland and for the last two years I have proudly been a part of this very special program. This program is open to all and gives people a glimpse at what life was like in the time of Christ, children get to travel the streets of Bethlehem, be counted among the many pilgrims, eat a hearty meal under a tent, meet Roman Guards and be bumped into by beggars and see a LIVE Nativity Scene. I am unable to show may of the family photos I did that night due to releases...but I can show you these two brave boys!

Just Kidding....

Okay so I guess I just don't know when to say when...lol! I couldn't say no to shooting the newest Bride & Groom of 2009, Meet Clayton and Erica...I will be doing their wedding in March!!! These two where so much fun and so full of love for each other! It was Freezing when we did their shoot...like 9 degrees and snow...oh it was horrible...but these guys got out there and just did it cold and all!

Western Feel...

We all know I am a country girl at heart and I LOVE shooting western photographs whenever I can...when I was contacted by this family and they wanted to bring their horse, I was like okay...never really shoot a horse but I'll TRY! Well outside of the NASTY sun...lol! The photographs turned out amazing and I even added some textures..I have a MILLION favs from this shoot...but this one has to just capture the essences of a All American Cowpoke!

New Baby Smell...

You gotta LOVE shooting a Newborn when you did the Maternity photos too...so much fun to see what was in their like a little gift with the new baby smell included! And is he not the cutest little man!! I think when I propped him up in this chair is mom thought I was crazy...but it turned out to be one of her favs!

Newborn baby's are so sweet by their self, but to shot a mommy and her new baby is such a awe inspiring experience, they just shine with a deep unmeasurable love, and shooting these two beauties was no exception. This photo just makes me stop and think about ALL those memorable quiet moments with my own girls. I hope it inflicts a memory of your own!

Meet the "L" Crew

All American Cowgirl...

What an absolute blast I had doing this shoot, first of all we got to shoot at this amazingly beautiful ranch just outside of town, and the gal I shoot was so much fun and up for anything! She is a gorgeous girl and we got some amazing photos even though the sun really wanted to fit with us...lol! This is one of my absolute favs! I LOVE her eyes in this photo, but I had a TON of favs from this shoot!!

Broken Bones...

That is right...I jumped down off a NORMAL height kitchen chair after taking down my backdrop after my shoot with the "Z" Family....my foot rolled under when I landed and all my body weight on top of it...I went to Urgent Care and was told I had broke it so they splinted it and ace bandaged it. Monday I saw my Doctor and he said I had broken the 5th, 4th & 3rd Metatarsals and was put in a walking boot for the next three weeks...I didn't realize this job was hazardous...lol!

Meet the "Z" Family

You have seen these two little cuties in LOTS of my photographs...now meet the two wonderful parents who brought them into this world and have trusted me enough to care for their most precious little loves!! I have been dieing to shoot the whole family for some time now and when I finally got the chance I got so excited I broke my foot...lol! But really we got some amazing shoots and I had so many favorites...but her is my favorite whole family shot!

Bond...

The relationship between a Mother & her daughter is one of unbreakable love and never ending understanding. Cindy and Natasha are no exception to this rule, these two are just beautiful to watch and I was honored to capture some beautiful moments between the two of them. They are no doubt VERY much a like and both very beautiful ladies. I had free creativity over this shoot and it was a lot of fun and A LOT of different locations...lol!

This is another one of my favorite little families! I did an inside shoot with them last weekend and this weekend we did an outside shoot and oh it turned out some awesome photos! This was a fun family shoot to do, I love Jenny and her boys and I love to give this hard working single mom something to beam and be proud of...a photo to show off her two wonderful young boys! There are so many favorites from this shoot, but this is my most favorite of all three of them!

Meet the Walkers and the Mansfields

I love this family, I first meet this adorable couple when I shoot their wedding, I feel in love with them and their sweet little boy, as well as the extended family! I had the privilege of shooting Sam and her little boy last month and this weekend I had the privilege to shoot the whole family! The weather was perfect and we got a lot of wonderful photos, here is one of my favorite family photos!

Busy Weekend

Phew it has been super busy around here the last few days, I had seven shots this weekend and I am now eyeball deep in editing...lol! And another busy one to come, I hope to get new photos up soon! The exciting thing is, that thanks to the flow of clients I have now invested in my NEW studio equipment and will be able to provide a better, larger studio area for large families and just in time for the cold fall weather we are having. I still have a few October openings so contact me SOON, starting Nov 1st the Holiday Season Special starts..look for more details on that to come. Had To Share....

I think I should just have my camera permanently implanted either to my face or my hand...lol! There is not a day that goes by I am not taking pictures of "Something" and today would be no different, however imagine my surprise when this little dinky shot turned into such a photograph! Well I had a nice visit with my dad and family this past weekend! Now it is back to work and YES that means Christmas is coming! Week off...

I will be taking the next three days off from all photo business, my Aunt & Uncle get into town tomorrow to see my Dad, though this will be a joyous visit it is also a hard one....I will also be there to capture some wonderful photos of the three of them! This is only two of my fathers four siblings. WE hope to see the other two soon as well!

My Girls

I got to shoot my favorite thing of all today....MY GIRLS! How I ended up with a free weekend couldn't tell ya, but it was much needed and I got to take some time out to spend with my little girls, who aren't so little any more. WE went downtown to shoot most of our photos today and there are so many good ones to pick from...but this is my most favorite of both of them! I have to admit though they are the HARDEST two to shoot!

Back for some family fun!

I got to enjoy shooting Dawn again and this time with her sister Pam and her little boy Diego...who was such a fun little man! We climbed the tree house, played with pumpkins and blew out dandelions..we even got to through rocks in the lake! This was such a fun and "playful" shoot to do!

These photos where a type I have never done before, the gal I did them for was very sweet and in the end weren't what she wanted, but she still liked them for her personal use! This was one of my favorites...she is such a beautiful girl and I LOVE her red hair!

Meet Miss Madi

This little girl was gonna have it ALL her way or no way! I had to pull out all the stops...but in the end she was my friend and the most adorable thing ever! I could just eat her up!! Her and her mom are so sweet together and you can just tell the bond between them is that of a Mother & Daughter as it should! WE played many things and had a great adventure and in the end some amazing pictures!

Pooch Shoot

OMG...can you say phew..these four four legged beauties kept me and their owners running...lol! But we got a lot of cute photos and even some kisses, well not me but my assistant did...he had the treats...lol! At the end the dogs where happy to lay down for a nap and I got some wonderful pics of their mommy and daddy!! It was a lot of fun!

Butterflies and Fairy Dust

These photographs turned out absolutely beautiful. I wanted to try something like this for the longest time and never had the subject, time or temp to do them. I couldn't be happier with them. The photographs have actually been sitting in my camera for a couple of days and when I pulled them out to edit them I was so happy how beautifully they came out. I kept expecting to see a little fairy sitting on her shoulder!

Puppy Dog Tails and "SNAKES"

I was so thankful these photographs came out because they almost didn't happen. One of the nice things about living where I do is that you can offer outdoor photographs and in studio photographs the bad thing there are snakes...big ones, everywhere! As I was doing these little boys photos yesterday I went to step off my porch to get the field behind him and I stepped down right on top of a big brown bull snake...the little boy and I jumped so fast...that would have been a great action photo...lol! Needless to say we went to the other side of the yard and got some great shots by the fence!

Meet G, wow did this little guy give me a run for my money...lol! G is a very active, very energetic, ALL little boy...lol! Who was not interested in sitting still to have his two year photos done. However I was lucky enough to catch him in some pretty cute photographs. The thumb in his pockets didn't quite work out...but this photo is very true to his curious little personality!

I got to do this shoot this past Friday with one of my Favorite families (minus the dad this time...lol) But mom is just gorgeous and baby is the cutest little guy ever and the bond and love between the two of them is just beautiful....I had so many favorites from the skin to skin portion of their shoot, but this one was my ABSOLUTE fav...I hope you enjoy its beauty as much as I do!

Refresher

I will Be leaving this afternoon for some FAITH, REST, FELLOWSHIP, FRIENDSHIP, and REJUVENATION! I will be attending the Annual Women of Faith Conference in Denver Colorado this weekend. During this difficult time with my Dad's illness it is moments like these that get me through the rough days and remind me that there is always someone bigger and always a plan, even if I don't understand it, or like it! So I will see all of you when I get back on Sunday!

Rainy Wedding

Rain, Rain go away....it has been raining since Thursday afternoon and as I rode up to the wedding site with Cindy I was not hopeful the rain clouds would lift to allow us to have this wedding outside, I had planed all these amazing poses outside and had spent much of last night wide awake trying to come up with new ones to do inside, and the space though not small for a reception was quickly shrinking once you got tables set up and stuck in an arch and 175 people. I arrived about 11am and went about my work at getting the best shots I could with the space and surroundings I had to work with! And around 1pm the rain broke and as the hazy clouds hung over the mountains I was able to get the bride out in her beautiful dress and got some gorgeous shoots, I hope you enjoy the beauty of her and the scenery! It was a TRUE high to do this wedding and I was very touched by this couple and their family and I felt very blessed to be a part of their special day.
